Abstract
A medium-sized American company has a huge problem: its two factories have shut down due to the 2020-21 Covid-19 pandemic. Now, former factory workers won’t return, and new workers cannot be found. The company officers, three sisters, must consider outsourcing manufacturing to one of two popular locations: a maquiladora in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, or a factory in Guangdong Province, China. Two staff teams within the company present the pros and cons of both places to the C-Suite officers. The officers must weigh all factors, especially ethical considerations, before deciding what to do.
